PORTRAITS

I'd done a few portraits of family members in my life but it was not till comparatively recently, as a bi-product of exhibiting figures and faces at an exhibition, that I was asked to do a formal portrait for payment.

Although a lot of work, both I and the client's family, were delighted with the end result which had allowed me a little artistic latitude with choice of reference images and treatment, while retaining a good likeness and character.

Since then I've also been delighted to be asked by fans of the subject to try some demanding portraits of female singers. I found I love this kind of work and am happy to discuss portrait commissions.

Generally a larger size can give a better, freer style result, but anything, including full length, can be considered.  

As a price guide an approximately life size head and shoulders is about £300.
